Liberation park Talisay, Cebu City

 "LIBERATION PARK"
 

This statue feature of the American soldiers that honor Filipino and American soldiers who gave their life to free Cebu from the Japanese, during world war 2 in 1945. The Talisay Liberation park commemorates this momentous event in the history of the country.

THE HISTORY

On 26 March 1945, at 08:28 on Talisay Beach, four miles (6.5 km) west of Cebu City, the 182nd Infantry and 132nd Infantry landed on the west and east, respectively, after an hour-long naval bombardment. Japanese mines destroyed ten of the first fifteen landing tracked vehicles that moved ashore, effectively stopping the advance. Subsequent landing waves stacked up, but the Japanese did not exploit easy target 

The next day, 27 March, the Americal Division moved into already devastated Cebu City, as the Americans began a rapid advance. On 28 March, Lahug airfield, two miles northeast of Cebu was seized, as Arnold’s troops began to confront two heavily defended Japanese positions in the outpost line, capturing one on the same day. The Americal Division grimly assaulted individual positions with tank-infantry teams and with crucial fire support from offshore Seventh Fleet destroyers, the Japanese slowly gave ground.

Pursuit operations began on 20 April, and together with Cushing’s guerrillas, killed any Japanese who turned to fight. Some 8,500 Japanese troops remained holed up in northern Cebu until the end of the war.

James M. Cushing, March 26, 1945. The presence is part of the Victor II operation carried out by Gen. Douglas MacArthur to recover the provinces of Cebu, Bohol and Negros. This gave way to the liberation of the City of Cebu, 27 March 1945; and surrender of the Japanese to the province, August 28, 1945." 

The statues at the Liberation Park went through a major restoration in 2013 in preparation for the annual tribute to the liberation landing on March 26. The park was also declared as a national historical shrine since it marks the location of the landing of the American forces in Cebu.

The park is now one of the favorite hangouts of locals. Residents in the area are aware of the significance of the monument in the liberation of Cebu and the country as a whole. Each year, a reenactment of the Talisay landing is held at the site. Representatives of the American and Japanese governments normally join the event. World War 2 veterans are also recognized.   







The Liberation Park in Talisay City serves as a reminder for us and the future generations of the sacrifices our forefathers to liberate the country from foreign invaders. It also shows the special bond the country has with the United States during one of the dark periods in the history of the Philippines.

A.C.T. Stage Play

STAGE PLAY

In Feb,22,2019, A.C.T. Bulacao hosted an short stage play for the preschool and the elementary in SM SEASIDE. They actually organized the characters because their costume and their acting are actually nice. And the characters was so brave to perform and they were so confident.

Their was a choir that sang One Day by Matthew Paul Miller the song was all about that their was peace one day that the war could end. And their presentation was so nice and so talented, their voices was so calm and beautiful voices.

Before the characters or elementary started they show who they are. And they show almost all the Disney princess and other stories. Their intro was nice and we could know the characters so easily if you watch all the Disney stories.

My favorite Disney movie was Brave and Descendants. Because the story was nice and all of  them were brave.

And after their intro they started to start their stories and act 1 by 1. Their presentation was so nice and cute.

After the elementary's presentation, the "Divas of ACT" sing in the stage and their performance was so beautiful, they sing so beautiful and they were so talented.

After the Divas presentation the dance troops of ACT dance in the stage. Their dance was successful and their performances was neat and clean. And the dance troops was also talented they dance so nice.

 

After the dance troops were done presenting their dance. James and the giant speech was next. Even though the story was kinda different their presentation was still nice and cute. James and his friends were lost and ask some of the Disney princess of where is the New York City. And after they arrived in New York City and they were happy and going all around the city and that's the end of the story. All of them did not forgot their acting and it was so cute and nice. Their performance was very successful and nice.

This event was very successful and it has helped the preschool and the elementary improved their skills. This helped them being brave and being confident which is very nice, because when they grow up they could be more advance and make their life more easy which is nice.

FAMILY DAY UNITED IN LOVE 2019

FAMILY DAY 2019

Family day is a day that you spend time with your family. It is a day for making your families happy and spending time with them. Some families don't spend time together, sometimes they are very busy with work and don't spend time with their family together, and their child are always sad because he's/her family don't spend time with their child. So that's why their is a family day a day that has love with happiness.

We were celebrating family day for love, a day spending with your families together. A real family is important because they are the one that support us, their the one that work so hard for us.

  

It was only me and my aunt because my father and mother where going to Cagayan because there going to my father cousin weeding. And I was ok without my dad and my mom to my  family day because I can mostly spend time with them when they are home now.

We were having a mass at the first program. And after the mass was our dance presentation.
All grade levels were presenting their dance and we were waiting for our turn to dance. And we  were the last grade that perform the dance presentation.

It was our turn to dance so we prepared for our dance presentation.

Our dance presentation was a success. The dance presentation song was Bubbly, Baam, and Girl and the Mirror.

Next activity was hot mama and hot papa contest. It was fun to watch them enjoying their activity.

At night I ate dinner with my aunt and classmates.

And after that me and my aunt and go home early because my aunt need to take care of her children's. So we go home after dinner.

It was a nice experience even though it was small but at least me and my aunt. were enjoying the family day.

Even though your parents din't go to your family day, but at least you have fun and enjoyed the family day with your guardian. And at least you and your parents spend together at home.

With or without your families, at least you have fun an enjoyed at your family day and at least their is a guardian to support to you.

CLEAN UP DRIVE CAMPUS WELLNESS

A.C.T. CAMPUS WELLNESS 2019

In A.C.T. We have a clean up drive campus wellness. Clean up drive for me it means sanitizing your environment or cleaning up your campus. Each of us bring gloves, mask, towel, and a extra t-shirt. And each team must bring a powder, a Zonrox, a brush, a broom, 2 signage and a thumbtacks. We want to clean our school to sanitize the school, to make the school clean and neat, and to make it fresh. Cleaning the school is important because without cleaning our school or our environment it won't be sanitize, the school will be dirty if we don't clean it, and a lot of students will be sick. So that's why we wanted to clean the school.

Grade 7-Loyalty clean the comfort room and other grade levels clean the other areas in A.C.T. The boys go to the boys comfort room and the girls go to the girls comfort room. And yes this is a little bit gross but we wanted to make the school sanitize and to make it fresh.

I clean the walls and the sink. Because I see the walls and the sink is dirty. It's the first thing that i saw it. So I clean the wall and the sink with my brush. But I can't remove all the the things or stains in the walls and in the sink because some of them can't be remove even I try it so hard. But at least I remove some of the stains in the wall and in the sink.

All of the students in A.C.T. helped each other in cleaning our school or campus but not only the comfort rooms.

Not just our brush to clean the walls, we also used our towels to clean the walls.

Some of us in grade 7-Loyalty cleaned the toilet, because the toilet was dirty but luckily there are no disgusting things inside the toilet.

We also fill the bucket with water in the sink if the bucket is empty.

Some of us also remove broom sticks in the drainage because we saw a lot of broom sticks, so we remove them and put the broom sticks in the trashcan so it won't get stuck-up but they can handle it even it was very dirty and disgusting. 

 Not only the comfort room that we will clean we will also clean the classroom since the classroom was dirty. We cleaned the white board, floor, walls and etc. We cleaned our classroom because it was the A.C.T. Clean up drive campus wellness 2019. And after cleaning the classroom we rest in a minute and ate lunch.

This activity can make students help their parents or guardians clean their house or helping them doing some of their choirs. So their parents or guardians can have a little bit problems so they could relax. This activity can also make their parents or guardians happy and proud because their child are helping them clean their house. This activity could help your parents if you help them clean the house, so they could have less problems.

 And this is how Asianistas cleaned the school campus.
